Hello, my name is Rebecca Sellers, the newest member of the CLT team joining them on 23rd March as a Learning Technologist. I was previously the Blended Learning Officer in the Faculty of Environment at the University of Leeds where I was particularly interested in e-assessment and social media.  Prior to my work in blended and digital learning I was a geoenvironmental engineer conducting contaminated land investigations (a slight career change!). Outside of work I love to bake cakes and sweet treats for friends, family and colleagues. I am also the proud owner of 2 pet lizards, Bert and Ernie who keep me constantly entertained.

During my first week I have been getting permissions to all the different systems, finding my way around both Campuses, signing up to the Step Challenge and beginning to look at implementation of the BYOD policy.

Over the coming weeks I am looking forward to working with a range of staff from across the institution on a wide range of topics and bringing some of my own experiences and expertise to the team. For the time being I will continue to learn acronyms and ask silly questions.

Conducting research into how academics in diverse institutions and contexts conceptualise learning and teaching. Thanks to Regent's University London for hosting me last Friday. Now at Heathrow heading for Universidad Europea Madrid to meet more colleagues next week. Fascinating looking into this question. If you believe you could help by collecting a group of academics together for a couple of hours, please let me know.
